The gown was custom made by renowned designer and CFDA member Christian Siriano in support of the “Buy a Lady A Drink” campaign to help Stella Artois and Water.org raise awareness about the global water crisis. The dress itself was inspired by Stella Artois’ limited-edition Chalices, which were designed by local artists to reflect unique water issues around the globe. Currently, 663 million people lack access to clean water – a global crisis that disproportionately affects women, who spend millions of hours a day collecting it. Stella Artois and Water.org will provide five years of clean water for one person in the developing world with each Chalice sold.
