Vanichi’s SEEN section for our CONFIDENCE issue focuses on THE HUNTING GROUND SPAGO LUNCHEON in Beverly Hills, California. The production team and activist survivors behind THE HUNTING GROUND: producer Amy Ziering, Kamilah Willingham, Andrea Pino, Annie Clark and director Kirby Dick. On Thursday, November 5, 2015, a special screening was held for The Hunting Ground at the Rodeo Screening Room in Beverly Hills. That was followed by The Hunting Ground Spago luncheon during which the attendees got to learn more about the documentary which focuses on sexual assault and rape on US college and university campuses. Activist survivors Andrea Pino, Annie Clark and Kamilah Willingham were present as well as the documentary’s director Kirby Dick and producer Amy Ziering. Twilight and Thirteen director Catherine Hardwicke was also lending her support. Hardwicke helped facilitate a song for the documentary written by Grammy-winner Diane Warren. Warren’s song “Til It Happens to You” was done in collaboration with Lady Gaga. Other attendees included actress Frances Fisher and producer Geralyn Dreyfous.
