Tuck Room Tavern LA opens with Chef Sherry Yard and the guest list includes John Legend, Chrissy Teigen and more. Not all restaurant launches are created equally. As Tuck Room Tavern LA opens with Chef Sherry Yard, anyone who walks in can tell this one is different. With an interior layout that combines the comfy sensation of a posh portico and well edited den, Tuck Room Tavern is offering the dining and drinking experience you wish would magically appear in your house. Helmed by SVP of Culinary Brand Development and three-time James Beard award winning chef Sherry Yard and Corporate Sommelier/Executive Bartender Adam Seger, patrons can indulge in meticulous menu of eats and crafted drinks. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen stopped by looking adorable during their date night. We’re not sure if they got to savor the Ahi Poke Bowls, but #TeamVanichi sure did! The passed hors d’oeuvres menu by Sherry Yard also featured Mac & Cheese “Fries,” Reuben Croquettes, Egg Sandwiches, Pork Belly bowls, Brioche-Crusted Crab Cakes and much more. Adam Seger created a drink selection that evoked the Hollywood’s Golden Age with sipping cocktails that were as fun to watch be prepared as they were to drink. Selections ranged from cocktails served in fresh coconuts with grilled pineapple and aged rum to bourbon mixes served in coupe glasses topped with fresh rosemary. One of Seger’s specialty cocktail creations, The Heisenberg, is created by pouring tequila through a three-tiered spirit diffusion system containing cherries, nectarines and peaches—locally sourced from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. To add a cherry on top, Seger rings a bell while pouring liquid nitrogen through the system to finalize the Breaking Bad inspired cocktail. The restaurant also features stunning works by Mike Stilkey, an American artist based in LA renowned for his book sculpture art. Giving books a second life, Stilkey is the only artist in the world to hand paint donated or discarded library books that would otherwise not be able to be recycled to use as his canvas. The Tuck Room Tavern is open Monday through Thursday 4-11p.m. and Friday to Saturday 4.p.m.-midnight. For reservations or to book a private event, please call (310) 307-7004.
