Jay-Z’s New Label Artist YOUNG PARIS Performs in LA

UPDATE 11.14.2016: Newly signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label, recording artist Young Paris has been getting a lot of attention. The Brooklyn-based Congolese AfroBeats artist is redefining EDM with his combination of African beats unique stylistic rap. After a tremendously successful tour at AfroPunk New York and AfroPunk Paris earlier this year, he is now launching his own brand called Melanin. On Sunday, November 20, Angelenos will get to experience the rising star LIVE at the Downtown LA Arts Festival 2016 (#DTLAAF).

A showcase of art and imagination, the #DTLAAF line-up includes performers, a fashion show, food, West African dance and more.

Attendees will also get to experience Young Paris up close and personal. Paris’ drumbeats are primarily sampled from traditional African music and his fusion establishes a previously unheard twist on the electric sound.  More recently he dropped his acclaimed full-length mixtape, African Vogue.

The Downtown Los Angeles Arts Festival can be followed on social through #DTLAAF and following the festival’s producer, DJ Swan (@DJSWANMUSIC).
